Food is getting stuck alot and I don't know why

Hi, thought i'd share my slight struggles with eating the past week and half. I haven't had a fill but yet I am having a hard time with most food getting stuck. It is so strange. I am not eating too fast, because i'm paying close attention since i'm having such a hard time.

Seems like anything solid is getting stuck. Unfortunately i've been eating bad food, you know the stuff that goes down easy. Chocolate, ice cream, chips, and i've been eating soup. I've heard from the discussion board it could be due to it being close to "that time of the month". But I don't think that's the case........

I think I will email my dr and see what she says!

take care!
Kerri

HI Martha,

Yeah, i'm ok..it's just frustrating. Like today, we went out with family after church to eat. I ordered a fiesta chicken salad..I was able to eat only a few bites..but then about 1/2 hour later I was able to eat most of it. wierd! I don't understand it at all!
thanks Martha

I'm just over from Kathi's place and wanted to wish you well. Ya'll are such an amazing family. I hope you feel better. I've had a long hard battle with weight too. If you aren't careful, little bits of food become big hurdles. Just keep telling yourself that junk food isn't worth the pain. Keep lots of protein close by for snacks. It helps a lot with the cravings to keep protein on your stomach. I bet you know that. Hugs from the south and keep pressing on.

Your radio voice is perfect. Loved your birthday post with your daughter and the quartet.

Glad everything is better. That choking problem must make you nervous to eat much, except what you know would go down easy, so be careful. I had thought about the lapband but decided on portion control & time. Also I have the help of my hubby & his cardiologist on this new way of eating. I use Fitday & I guess I was shocked at the amount of food I can eat. I'm only 4'11" & I can eat as much as my 6' husband. We'll both get healthy & your blog is helping me too.

Kerri, I've been having this trouble lately and actually went in for an adjustment because of it. What Shelly told me is that if you have a bad day or two, the stomach starts to get irritated and can swell which makes the band basically too tight for what's going on. That's also when most band slips happen.

I hope you talked to the doc and got things taken care of.

Wendy, how are you feeling and how is the eating going since you had an adjustment? How much did you have taken out?

I have not gone in yet. I sent an email to Shellie twice last week. She must have been on vacation!

Interested to see how you are doing!
